I really like this tool. Now my Rubik\'s Cube isn\'t all scrambled up on my shelf. I do think entering the current state of a cube is a little tedious at the moment; would it be possible to auto fill colors that can be predicted, like the center color once you put in 2 or the corners once there are 2/3 colors entered? Either way I still like this and will use it whenever the need arises.

This is the best site out there for solving the cube! Thank you! Easy to use, quick and not confusing! You made my 9 year-old giggle!

This shit doesn\'t work. I followed very close instructions, I used your site 6 times on the same puzzle, after finding out there was no easy to find alternative. I wasn\'t convinced your site was broken and I wasn\'t stupid until it told me to turn red side half turn, and then the very next move, turn red clockwise. Fucking bullshit. I should just throw this thing out the window.

HOLY SHIT!!! HOW THE HELL DO YOU DO THAT?!?! I couldn\'t figure out how to solve this stupid-ass-en thing to save my life, but yet, you went and created a website that figures it out in less than 25 moves... HOLY SHIT........ Good job, ya lucky bastard. I envy you and your ability to do that.

When I enter my cube to be solved, it solves for a bit but then the instructions just end and my cube is left unsolved. I have checked to see that i\'m doing whats told correctly but my cube will never solve when enter it

I cannot since my cube with your site. Do I need to keep the cube on the same axis? Is quarter a turn one turn? Two turns half? Thanks

It is hard to describe in words what the turns mean exactly so I made a video tutorial. It is on the Help page.

Our minds are blown!!! How in the world did you create this?? We are so impressed. Thanks for this fun tool. Hopefully if we do it enough we will get a feel for the patterns. We really appreciate your site,

This site won't give you help on the patterns or learning to solve the cube. It uses a computer algorithm to shortcut the solution. Check out the Links page to find sites that will help you learn to do it yourself. Thanks for the feedback!

Hi! Your Rubik\'s Cube solver is very cool! I made a program with the same purpose in high school, so it was very interesting for me to see someone do a much better job with it. I was wondering what algorithm you implemented. Was it Kociemba?

Yes, Kociemba it is, which can be found over at http://www.kociemba.org/cube.htm
It does use fairly large lookup tables, but they only have to be calculated once and then are good to use for every other solve from that point. As for the code that I use to generate the moves, it is a variation of the C program that Greg Schmidt created over a decade ago, I just put a nice website GUI on the front and back end, and tweaked his code to run on a server.
The real gold mine for computer code is:http://www.wrongway.org/?rubiksource (has source code for many solvertypes)
My website basically just puts together a nice GUI to interface with theC code at the links above. - See more at: http://rubiksolve.com/feedback/

Did not work. Unsure whether it was my fault or yours.

I was very excited when I saw this on reddit. However, I have yet to solve the cube, even when my cube is almost solved. Thanks, Noah

Your website doesn\'t work! I put my combination in multiple times and followed your steps exactly, and it was equally messed up as when I started! Thanks for your effort though, it would have been fabulous if it had worked! :)

I am sorry it didn't work out for you. I do keep automated records of when the solver succeeds and fails. For example here are yesterday's statistics:
New Solver Attempts: 8804
New Solver Successes: 7459
New Solver Failures: 1345
Unfortunately that is just the computer statistics and you said it actually gave you a solution and didn't solve your cube when you followed the steps. I have tried to make a simple to follow interface but I do appreciate the feedback. I may look into making it even easier to follow.

I bought my first cube back in 1981 and used a couple of months to learn solving it. This program was a very elegant solution, nice touch to use the center colour. I guess a similar program is used for the LEGO Cubestormer robots?
